| Kamerliga: United wallops Essen, moves closer to title - Monday, July 14, 2008
Duisburg United vs Camer Essen, 2-0
Yes, it is true! Duisburg united was able to assert itself in the competition as probably the toughest Cameroonian side in the province. Despite a poor start on day 1 of the competition (1-2 against Essen), United hasn't lost any game. The quality of their game is not comparable to any. It is simply lovely to watch them play - the discipline, the planning, the fighting spirit, the determination and ardent zeal to win. At this stage it is close to impossible to beat United. This was proven on the hills of Wuppertal last weekend, when the team walloped current position 1 holders by 2-0. Details on kamerliga's website. |

A must win for Duisburg United

Duisburg united's goal is to win the championship and this dream can turn to reality on Saturday in Wuppertal as they face of with Essen. The game is to achieve two goals, stop Essen from widening the gap and also reduce the gap to the top. The team has put more emphasis on tactics and standard situations during its recent training sessions. One thing is clear, football is not only about satisfying the spectators through ball control and wisdom of passes, it is about scoring and united would have to do more in this area if they are to come out successful on July 12th.
